Prayer Reflections Week XXXII (Nov.18-24,2013)

Day 6: And the things that you heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. 2 Tim 2:2
  • Our mission's goal is to transmit to others what we receive from Jesus, to form in them the life of God in the same way that Jesus is doing in us. How do I live this aspect of my identity as VD this week? -vd prayer buddies

Day 2: We have saved someone when we have taught him or her to pray. Christ will have a new disciple when he or she through prayer comes to know Him personally, not by hearsay but by personal experience.(VD const. #40)
  • The preaching of the word will make the people in contact with God. Prayer is encountering God through his Word. We then are encouraged to teach someone to pray so that we can win a disciple for Christ. VD Prayer Buddies.

Day 1: Then He said to His disciples “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few.  There pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”  (Matthew 9:37-38)
  • Faith had been sown to our hearts and our soul by our Lord Jesus. We need to pray always and to be the bearer and witnesses of christ life and to pray for others that they may too will encounter God and become his witnesses. Hope we did our share today as Laborer Of the Lord of Harvest! - VD Prayer Buddies

Prayer Reflections Week XXXI (Nov. 11-17, 2013)

Day 5: Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon son of John, do you love me more than these others do? Yes, Lord, he said, you know that I love you. Jesus said to him, then "Take care of my lambs. (Jn 21:15-18)

  • It is true that we love God but still we are destructed of what d world offers.  Jesus wants us to be sure, given these calamities we have now, we are measured how we really LOVE God. Our willingness to serve and help those who are in need.   Vd prayer buddies.

Day 4: The group of believers was one in mind and heart. None of them said that any of their belongings were their own, but they all share with one another everything they had. With great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and God poured rich blessings on them all. Acts 4:32-35

  • Oneness made us strong, made you feel the joy or pain, made you look around and inside of you with compassion, and made God to  activate and pour out His rich blessings on u. Be one in mind and heart as a group of believer, share your talent and be a blessing to everyone. -VD Prayer Buddies


Day 3: Go then to all peoples everywhere and make them my disciples. Mt. 28:18-20

  • We have saved someone when we have taught him or her to pray, Christ wil have a new disciple when he or she, through prayer comes to know Him personally.... (Vd const. #40) Today we are reminded to live what we are called for, to dedicate our life to prayer and preaching so many wil be saved. -Vd Prayer Buddies

Day 2: "As he saw the crowd, his heart was filled with pity for them, because they were worried and helpless, like sheep w/out a shepherd" (Mt 9:36)

  • It pains our God to see the suffering of our bro n sis. He needs you now more than ever to be a shepherd to them by giving them what they need the most. The real food that gives life, the true drink that quenches their thirst, the light that gives hope, the love that secures. GIVE the WORD OF GOD and save lives. (VD Prayer buddies) pls pass...


Day 1: "It is not right for us to neglect the preaching of God's word in order to handle finances. We ourselves, then, will give our full time to prayer and the work of preaching." (Acts 6:3-4)

  • The apostles have chosen the best part, praying and preaching the word of God and even doing it full time. There is so much life in the word of God! Do we recognize it? Do we intend to preach in our simple way everyday or we just consumed with our financial concerns? -VD Prayer Buddies

Prayer Reflections Week XXX (Nov.4-10, 2013)

Day 7: "May the Lord direct your hearts to the love of God and to the perseverance of Christ."-2Thess 3:5.

  • Our perseverance to live Christian lives is rooted in our hope of the Resurrection, God's final reward. In a world that may seem unfair, what makes you continue living a good and honest life? -vd prayer buddies

Day 6: 'There should be no division in the body.But its part should have equal concern for each other.If one part suffers every part suffers with it, if one part is honored every part rejoice with it. 1cor 12:25-26

  • The reality of the kingdom unite us with bonds more strong of flesh and blood. Let us make true this reality of faith.We are one in Christ.Giving thanks for being save and at the same time to be one with our brothers and sisters in need. -vd prayer buddies

Day 2: "What must I do to inherit eternal life?"Love the lord your God with all your heart, strength, mind and 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' (Lk. 10:25-37)

  • Loving our neighbor as we love ourselves is the way to create heaven here on earth. Who then is our neighbor? Is anyone who needs our help. Ask God today who are the concrete people he wants you to love by helping then using your time, talent and treasure. VD Prayer Buddies.


Day 1: "Instead, be concerned above everything else with the Kingdom of God and with what he requires of you, and he will provide you with all these other things." (Matthew 6:33)

  • Doing what God requires of us brings joy, peace and its worth spending our time with cause this is the real treasure that we've been looking for. May we continue be wise and store up real treasures day by day - VD Prayer Buddies

Prayer Reflections Week XXIX (Oct. 28-Nov.3, 2013)

Day 7: "all that He created was good. If He did not love them, they wouldn't exist."-wisdom 11: 25-26.

  • God is a Lover of Life. He values all that lives and prices life above all possessions, it's dignity over human glory. How do you price your life today? What gives people value? Looking at Him on the cross again, we find the expression of Love that gives the most profound value to our lives. -vd prayer buddies

Day 6: 'Your gain is a life fully dedicated to him and the result is eternal life' Rom. 6:22

  • The life of the saints lead us to see the goal of our life. ETERNITY. And we share it with them. Let us leave every minute of our life with that intensity,giving to each moment the extraordinary meaning that faith can give. -vd prayer buddies 

Day 4: The forms and tasks of life are many but holiness is one that sanctify which is cultivated by all who act under God's Spirit and obeying the Father's voice and adoring God the Father in spirit and truth, follow Christ, poor humble and cross-bearing, that they may deserve to be partakers of His glory. (Lumen Gentium, 41)

  • In our sufferings, we are enjoying the grace within us who is jesus.  we are  given an opportunity to be christ  which leads us to heaven. Let us embrace sufferings, let us embrace jesus. VD prayer buddies

Day 3: Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God. Rev. 7:2-4

  • We are all sealed by the holy spirit. Yet our life can still face temptations. Today, let us not be complacent. Be vigilant. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus so we may not fall. Dont waste your life, for you are destined to be in heaven. Let Jesus be our strength in all temptations we face. - VD Prayer Buddies

Day 2: 1 Pet 1:16. The Scriptures says, "Be holy because I am holy."

  • What is holiness for you? Is it something impossible? Holiness is making our mind and heart aligned with that of Christ in order to live with him and be like him. It is to love like Christ and his love is characterized by the giving of himself for our sake. To give oneself, to suffer for Christ is then a privilege to become holy. Therefore, let us welcome the sufferings of this day for they are paths to sanctity. VD Prayer Buddies.

Day 1: Brothers and sisters:
You are no longer strangers and sojourners,
but you are fellow citizens with the holy ones
and members of the household of God,
built upon the foundation of the Apostles and prophets,
with Christ Jesus himself as the capstone. (Eph. 2:19-22 )

  • how beautiful indeed to digest and recognize our origin and foundation, may we continue to put into practice what we learned from Jesus in our daily prayer. As we vote today, think of our brothers and sisters who will most benefit from the vote that we cast. - VD Prayer Buddies

Prayer Reflections Week XXVIII (Oct. 21-27)

Day 7: "The tax-collector went home at peace with God."-luke18:.

  • Peace is not a privilege of those who have never done anything wrong, but of those who dedicate themselves to build God's Church. Do you long for peace on earth? Start to build God's Family today.. -vd prayer buddies

Day 3: The thief comes only to steal,kill, and destroy. I have come in order that you might have life-life in its fullness. Jn.10:10

  • Jesus coming to our lives is for us to be saved-to have fullness in life. Today, He wants us to bring His life to many of his children so they too will be saved and they will regain their identity as His children. Make Jesus be happy, save a friend,a neighbor, a love one today. Be available for others. VD Prayer Buddies.

Day 2: "You did not choose me, I chose you and appointed you to go and bear much fruit, the kind of fruit that endures"
Jn 15:16.

  • It is God himself who has appointed us to preach about his WORD and his LIFE. To preach therefore is not an option but a command.  Is there greater fruitfulness than being collaborators of Gods mission of salvation? Today be a life-giver! Look for opportunity to preach! VD prayer buddies.

Day 1: And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, he departed and went out to a desolate place, and there he prayed.And Simon and those who were with him searched for him, and they found him and said to him, “Everyone is looking for you.”

Prayer Reflections Week XXVII (Oct 14-20,2013)

Day 7: "Will not God secure the rights of his chosen ones who call out to him day and night? Will he be slow to answer them?"-luke18:7.

  • Jesus affirms the power of the prayers of his people, especially when they intercede for others. Today is mission sunday. Don't forget to PRAY as your FIRST mission. -vd prayer buddies

Day 6: 'he call together his servants and entrusted his money to them while he was gone. He have five bags of silver to one, two bags to another, and one bag to the last' Mt25:14

  • We participate in this mission with the assurance that he give us what we need.Can u recognise it? be as the faithful servant who invest in the life of others. Thank you lord for making us part of this sharing of your life to others. - vd prayer buddies

Day 4: There was always enough flour and olive oil left in the containers, just as the LORD promised through Elijah." (1 Kings 17:11-13, 15-16)

  • God, in each moment knows  everything that we need before we ask of it and its always more than enough, the widow and her son ate for several days by giving up a single meal to elijah and trusting in the words the Lord through elijah. do we trust in Gods word each day in spite of challenges and calamities? Day 3: "You must each decide in your heart how much you give. For God will generously provide all you need." 2Cor. 9:6-8.

  • God loves a joyful and generous giver. He never fails to provide everything they need. Today Jesus is inviting us to be a generous giver of life to others like He did, inorder to save many who like us were also became slaves of the world and became free when Christ gave his ultimate sacrifice. Day 2: "Do you love me? Then Feed my sheep" (jn 21:17)

  • Do you love me? Is the question jesus is asking each one of us today & in very clear words he is telling us how we can love him... To be sensitive & have compassion to the needs of our bro & sis. What is the need of your neighbor? Harden not your heart & respond to their cry for help. Give justice by giving what you have. You have the word of God that can ease their pain & heal their brokenness.- VD Prayer buddies.

Day 1:He said to them, "give them some food yourselves". "Lk 9: 13

  • Jesus is telling us to take care of others' needs especially the need for the word of God. Jesus believes in our capacity to share. we are invited to focus on what we have and let God multiply these  for others to share. Thank you Lord for believing in me. VD Prayer Buddies

Prayer Reflections Week XXVI (Oct. 7-13, 2013)

Day 2:"Preach d Word; be ready in season & out of season. (2 ti 4:2 )
  • Look at our world and what do you see? Brokenness, chaos, slavery to sin, etc. Verbum Dei you have the medicine to heal all these! Thus it is urgent that we should be ready to preach the WORD OF GOD at all times and live by example in season or out of season knowing that at stake is the eternal life of our bro n sisters. We cannot delay for it's a matter of life and death. -VD prayer buddies
Day 3:"No means or methods will ever match...a missionary convinced by and in love with Christ." Cf. VDC #44  
  • As disciples of Christ, our love for him is our motivation to  persevere and courage in facing persecution. This love in us made us convince to speak what we believe and offer our lives as living witnesses of the love and life of Christ here on earth. "We speak because we believe." VD Prayer Buddies
Day 4:"I believed, therefore I spoke." (2 Cor. 4:13). 
  • our beliefs will manifest in the words that we speak and in the way we act. we profess i believe in God, the power almighty creator of heaven and earth. how come i look at my problems over and above me? how come i believe in the many superstitious beliefs? do we really believed in God? -vd prayer buddies
Day 5:"Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you.. because of Me...your reward in heaven is great."(Matthew 5:10-13). 
  • As disciples of Christ, we profess, we stand and proclaim his words. Along the journey we will encounter and experience persecution or humiliation. In this, we will know how deeply our faith rooted in God. Because we believed we spoke so suffering is our offering and we will receive reward from heaven. From Vd Prayer Buddies.
Day 6:'oh lord God! I know not how to speak,I'm to young...Say not 'I'm too young' to whomever I send u,u shall go,whatever I command u,u shall speak'  Jr1:6-10.
  • The lord entrust to us this great mission,to transmit His own life to others.What a task! Do not put limit to give life, trust in his Words. the transmission only depends if we remain united to him. 'I will put my words in your mouth-says the lord' -vd prayer buddies
Day 7:"Stand up and go on your way; your faith has saved you."-luke17:19. 
  • Faith has the power not only to save but to direct our lives on a meaningful path. What's the best gift we can offer to our loved ones and to all? Isn't it the capacity to stand up & walk rightly again, always? That's called FAITH. -vd prayer buddies

Prayer Reflections Week XXV (Sept. 30-Oct. 6, 2013)

Day 7: 'if today you hear his voice, harden not your hearts.' Psalm 95: 7.

  • Have you heard God's voice today? What did He say to you? Faith is to believe what we hear from Him, to do what we hear and to entrust what we do back to Him. Faith entails patience to wait for God and continue to believe in His Word. -vd prayer buddies


Day 6: 'For I know the plans I have for you..They are plans for good not for disaster,to give you a future & hope'
Jr 29 :11

  • Mary believe in God's word,in His promise.she trust totally in him.Let us continue walking with her believing that God's promises will be fulfill & that nothing is  Impossible for him.how is my trust in Gods word? -vd prayer buddies


Day 5: "My soul magnifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has looked on the humble estate of his servant.(Luke 1:46-50)".

  • How happy we are if we only recognize that human as we are, still God's love for us is immense.  May we recognize that we can return the favor to God when we faithfully follow His will to our life with humility and simple faith like Mother Mary to follow God's will with gratitude in her heart.-from VD prayer buddies.

Day 4: " I am the Lord's servant," Mary answered. "May your word to me be fulfilled." Then the angel left her. (Luke 1:26-38)

  • God will always fulfill what he started in you, to the purpose that you have been created giving you the happiness that you deserve. like our mother mary we are invited to be humble in front of God and allow him to use our life...fear not, whatever God called you to do, He will always be with you. - VD Prayer Buddies

Day 3: Woman behold your son. Then he said to his disciple behold your mother. Jn. 19:25-27 

  • We are blessed that Jesus gave us His mother to be mother of all humanity. Mama Mary is the beloved inheritance of Jesus for all of us. Let us recognize Her as our mother who gives us faith and strength to follow her son. With her in our life, we are never been orphan. Today be a "mother" to those who feel abandoned, insecured and unloved. -VD Prayer Buddies

Day 2: "Do what ever he tells you." Jn 2:5.

  • There are times in our life that we run out...of patience, understanding, hope, faith, happiness, peace etc. Our mother Mary reminds us to do whatever Jesus tells us, to listen and do his will for he is the only one can give what we are looking for...like her though she didnt completely understand God's plan for her but she never doubted God's love for her. Whatever you lack today trust that he can make miracles if you believe and do whatever he tells you to do.- VD Prayer buddies.

Day 1:"Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill His promises to her." Luke 1:40
  • God is calling us to be faithful by believing in all His promises. Mama Mary is telling us that dependence to God would free us from doubts  and worries. Thank u Mama Mary for guiding us to your Son. -vd prayer buddies

Prayer Reflections Week XXIV (Sept. 23-29, 2013)

Day 7: "If they do not listen to Moses and the prophets, they will not be convinced even if one should rise from the dead."-luke16:31.

  • Our conviction in Christ should lead us to believe in the prophetic voice of the Church sent by Christ. If we would not listen to her, we  cannot say that we believe in the One who rose from the dead. Are you willing to hear what the Church has to say? Moreso, do you have something to say as member of the Church? -vd prayer buddies

Day 6: 'life worthy of the vocation to which you were call. With all humility and gentleness and with patience, support each other in love. Take every care to preserve the unity of the spirit by the peace that binds you together' Eph4:1-7

  • The call of God as one family is a gift,&the Spirit maintain this bands among us,working in us his presence in gentleness, patience,love.How we procure this unity of our call among us? Do we care for the unity? -vd prayer 


Day 5: "But this same spirit who brings sin to light is also the Consoler who gives the human heart grace for repentance and conversion."(CCC1433)

  • In our daily huzzle n buzzle Of life we tend to missed up something because of wordly priorities  w/c sap our energy that leaved us discourage and less intelligent.  The invitation is to recognize our consoler, the holy spirit who is always there even in tired & empty moments in our life.-From VD Prayer Buddies

Day 4: The Spirit himself pleads with God for us in groans that words cannot express.  (Rom 8:26)

  • The Holy Spirit always inspires and brings out the best in us, and will always teach us to pray and to be true to ourselves in front of God our father in order for us to recognize the life and love that God has been given us and for us to understand the purpose of our existence. Interconnect and express yourself to God 24/7 by activating the Holy Spirit in you. - VD Prayer Buddies

Day 3:"Gods spirit joins himself to our spirits to declare that we are God's children." Rm.8:16.

  • The Holy Spirit dwells in us. His dwelling in us made us to be identified as God's children. It also impels us to proclaim the love of God through the Gospel. Jesus is inviting us to proclaim our identity as Gods children for there so many who are not aware. Let us be advocates to all people in proclaiming God's love for us his children. Day 2: "The helper will come --- He is the holy spirit  who reveals the truth about God and who comes fr the father  (jn 15:26) 
  • Our world today is full of invitations, chaos, lies but God has given us the holy spirit that leads & guides us to the TRUTH. To be able to live accdg. to what is truth it is vital that we spent time to pray and dialogue w/ the Holy Spirit. To ask him for guidance, to follow his insinuations, & to allow him to be our compass on how to live this day & everyday of our life. How often do you consult the Holy Spirit? -vd prayer buddies

Day 1: The wind blows wherever it wishes; you hear the sound it makes, but you do not know where it comes from or where it is going. It is like that with everyone who is born of the Spirit.” (John 3:8)
  • Did u wish to gain favour of God and people? Do as Jesus did, take off ur hand n d wheel and let d Holy Spirit drive ur life. r God s a gud God, He s Jehovah Jireh, He will provide exactly what we need to fulfil r destiny. Prayer Reflections Week XXIII(Sept. 16-22,2013)

Day 7: "If you can trust someone in little things, you can also trust them in greater."-luke 16:10.

  • Money, possessions, status, power..are not necessarily evil things. When learnt to be used with an honest heart, they can build mutual trust and just relationships for a  better world. Start with little things, be honest with yourself, at home, at work & relationships, and the Lord will make you a strong support in whom many and God Himself will trust.- vd prayer buddies

Day 6: 'Let us keep our eyes fixed on Jesus,in whom our faith depends from the beginning to end' Hb 12:1-2

  • let us continue seeing Jesus, model of who we are call to be. To learn from him so that others can see what is inside of us,the image of God. Let us walk in his image, learning from him the child of God that we are call to be. - vd prayer buddies 

Day 5: "Master," Simon answered, "we worked hard all night long and caught nothing. But if you say so, I will let down the nets.They let them down and caught such a large number of fish that the nets were about to break." -Lk 5:5-8

  • God is talking to us but we tend to neglect it because we are too confident of ourselves. The invitation for us is that we should listen to Him and include Him in our daily undertakings so we can have abundance in life.- from VD Prayer Buddies

Day 4: Peter declared, Never at any time will you wash my feet! If I do not wash your feet, Jesus answered, you will no longer  be my disciple. -Jn. 13:7-8

  • Jesus spoke and acted humility in taking the task of a servant washing the feet of his  follower. We will only know and understand the meaning of this if we submit ourselves to be washed by Jesus and practice humility each day.... humility in asking and giving forgiveness, in accepting fraternal corrections and in recognizing that all what we have is coming from God. -VD Prayer Buddies
  • How humble is our God that washes our infirmity, how bless we r that he give as the chance to be clean - joy

Day 3: "You need only one thing. Go and sell all you have and give money to the poor, and YOU WILL HAVE RICHES IN HEAVEN, THEN COME AND FOLLOW ME." Mk. 10:21-22

  • What do you value most? What treasures are you keeping? Jesus is inviting you to value what is essential and that is to live life with Christ, the way to Love. Wordly treasures does not give meaning to our life. Be smart! Choose the path of Jesus and you will enjoy riches in heaven. -VD PRAYER BUDDIES
  • LIFE is a flute... It may have many holes and emptiness insides...but, if we work on it carefully, it can provide magical melodies as gate way to happiness. Enjoy LIFE everyday! GOD made it for you worth living for His glory! Amen!     PAX CHRISTI!!  - Celia 
Day 2: "People who are well do not need a doctor, but only those who are sick.   (Mt.9:9-13)

  • We are all sinners, No one is exempted. But the good news is that we have a loving and compassionate healer in the person of Jesus and he begs us to allow him to heal us and make us whole, Would you allow him to touch, heal and restore you? VD- prayer buddies.

Day 1: Romans 8:29
"For those he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, so that he might be the firstborn among many brothers." It is through baptism into christ, that we are renewed according to the image of our creator.

  • God handpicked us to have fullness of life like his son, jesus. Do we strategically set a time to know more about His son Jesus? VD Prayer Buddies

Prayer Reflections Week XXII (Sept. 9-15, 2013)

Day 7: 'I will rise up and go to my father.'-luke 15:18.

  • Our Christian faith constantly calls us to walk towards our God as father. It is so easy to forget Him in the hustle and bustle of life and to sink into the quicksand of self. But in forgetting Him, we forget who we are too. Gently He calls us again, "my son, rise up. Come back to the true Life meant for you.. Your true self, the real YOU, my son." - vd prayer buddies


Day 6: 'I'm who I am. You must tell them. The one who is called I AM/ has sent me to you' Ex 3:14

  • After this week to recognise."Who are you,you who hold out your hand to me?-confidence-Who are you,you who knows what is best for me?-assurance- Who are you,you who love me so patiently? -faithfulness-And the colours of my heart are in ur eyes"FATHER! - vd prayer buddies

Day 5: "People of Israel, am I not able to do with you what his potter does? As clay in the hand of the potter so are you in my hands." (Jeremiah 18:6)

  • God reminds us that we are mold by Him. He creates and recreates us to be the best creation but our collaboration s needed. Whatever our ups and down we are secured because somebody holds  us and that is God, Almighty potter. - From Verbum Dei Prayer Buddies

Day 4: "The Lord is gracious and merciful, abounding in love and slow to anger." psalm 103:8-11

  • brothers and sisters God has been consistent in his mercy and love for us and he is always faithful. I invite you to recall your history and recognize Gods abundant work of mercy and you will be amazed. VD Prayer Buddies  

Day 3: ...Can a mother forget the baby at her breast?... Though she may forget, I will not forget you! Is. 49:13-15.

  • God our Father wants to assure us that in moments we feel abandoned, alone and neglected we belong to him. He has never left us. His love is meant for us. Today, recognize that we need to live a life inside the house of  God and enjoy His care and love. VD Prayer Buddies.


Day 2: "So do not start worrying: 'where will my food come from? Or my drink? Or my clothes? Our father in heaven knows that you need all these things. Instead, be concerned above everything else with the kingdom of God & w/ what he requires of you, & he will provide you w/ all these other things.       (Mt.31-33)

  • Our father reminds us today not worry like the pagans do, He invites us to TRUST him that he loves and cares for us and receive his promise, and enjoy life worry free. - VD prayer buddies

Day 6: 'Go and make disciples...baptize them in the name of the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit....' Matt 28:19

  • God, source of our mission, fountain of who we are-family-Who make us his disciples. Receive today that special call to collaborate in his mission of making others part of this family of God. Hear that voice that call: can I count on you? - vd prayer buddies

Prayer Reflections Week XX (Aug 26-Sept 1, 2013)

Day 7: 'My child, conduct your affairs with humility, and you will be better loved than a lavish giver.'-sirach 3:17.

  • All of us long to be loved and appreciated. It is not by what we give or do for others, but by how we treat each one that we are appreciated. Gentleness is the true expression of greatness. -vd prayer buddies


Day 5: "I promise you that i will bless you and give you many descendants". (Hebrews 6:13-15)

  • Our discipleship is not only for us but for the coming generations. The strong foundation of our prayer is very important to expand the Kingdom of God.  We are the first teacher of faith to our children.  We should show to them the kingdom of harmony, peace and love by taking responsibility now and pass the torch to our children. Day 4: "Freedom is what we have - Christ has set us free! Stand, then, as free people, and do not allow yourselves to become slaves again." (Gal 5:1)

  • Exercise of freedom beyond the boundary set by God is sin. Real freedom comes from obeying what God has commanded us to do and this is what Jesus has been doing and teaching us all his life..to Love. Day 3: ...Jesus Christ; rich as He was, He made himself poor for your sake, in order to make you rich by means of His poverty. 2Cor.8:7-9.

  • Jesus is inviting us to be poor so that in our poverty many will be rich. This is the authentic Christian life that we are called for. Day 6: ' The kingdom of heaven has suffered violence attacks and violent men try to seize it' mt 11:12

  • To love is many times not easy but God make possible in us what is Impossible for man. Take the risk to love as he love and to make possible the family that we are call to build. The family of God - vd prayer buddies


Day 4: "Let us not give up the habit of meeting together, as some are doing. Instead, let us encourage one another." (Hebrews 10:25)

  • We are meant to commune  and whether we like it or not our life speaks and affects the life of others. Building our life in Truth and Love also builds the life of many. Day 3: You are like the light of the world...In the same way your light must shine before people. Mt. 5:13-16 
  • As we are called Christians we too are bearer of the light that we received from Christ. A light that freed us from bondage of sin, gave hope for us who are hopeless, gave love for us who felt unloved and faith for us who have none. Day 2: In Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all others. Rm. 12:5 
  • Your life is created for community and fellowship. God never intends to make our personal relationship with Christ privately. This must be shared through our fellowship with others.   • It pleases God when we obey His command to love our neighbors by treating them as members of our own family by sharing the Love of God so that together we will become witness of the truth , the love of God. Prayer Reflections Week XVIII (Aug. 12-18, 2013)

Day 4: "When Jesus saw the large crowd, his heart was filled with pity for them." Mat. 14:14

  • Jesus is always looking at us with great mercy and compassion in spite of our stubbornness and ignorance of him, he never loses hope and confident that someday we will gradually learn from his ways. Day 3: I am the vine, you are my branches,...those who remains in me and I in them will bear much fruit...Jn. 15:5

  • It is essential in our discipleship the strong connection we have with the source and that is Christ. We are nothing without him. It is only through him that we can find faith and perseverance to enjoy the fruits of mission. Just hang on to Jesus. He will not fail you. - Vd Prayer Buddies

Day 2: "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has chosen me to bring good news to the poor." Lk. 4:18

  • We are all chosen by God to bring Hope in the life of others in the manner that we dealt and communicate with our brethren. a simple smile, a sincere listening and a soft voice of inspiration may give them  courage to persevere in life with God. Day 7: "For wherever your treasure is, that is where your heart will be also."-luke12:34.

  • Jesus reminds us today: Make God the treasure of your heart. Life is short & our homeland is in heaven. We need to work hard to build His Kingdom of Love, justice and peace. If we do, He will be the One to 'do up his belt and wait on us.' Don't worry, you can rest all you want when you get there, meanwhile, let Him find you busy serving others. Day 6: Matthew 10:42
"If you gives so much as a cup of cold water to one of those little ones because he is a disciple, then I tell you solemnly, he will most certainly not lose his reward."

  • Jesus emptied... means nothing left for him even his life on earth were given up for the sake of not one, not two not even to many but for all of us... even Jesus is serving us in many ways though he is Lord..do we recognize this identity of ours to be of service for others?   • The call of Jesus to do the mission is personal. He wanted us to be close to Him as we journey as His apostles. So that our missionary journey is joyful and complete. Prayer Reflections Week XVI (July 29-Aug. 4, 2013)

Day 5: "And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the Day of Judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world" 1 John 4:16-18

  • Living in God, our love grows more perfect bec of the holy spirit is in us. Living in God strengthen our faith, and we learned how to face discouragement and failure.-From Verbum dei Prayer Buddies


Day 4: "But you are no longer part of the world. I chose you to come out of the world, so it hates you" -Jn 15:18-20

  • There are so many things the world is  offering that we can't refuse; power, material positions, pleasures, etc. that often mislead us to the truth of life, the truth that we are Gods masterpiece and are not meant to belong to world but to the Lord. Turning our back on the world because of following christ and facing the humiliation and persecution of the world will always lead us to life eternal.-VD Prayer Buddies

Day 3: Christ suffered for our sins... He died for sinners to bring you safely home to God. 1 Peter 3:18

  • Jesus suffered for the sake of man for this is out of His love for us. As his followers we are called to be like Him that in giving ones life to others is an act of love. Day 2: Jesus replied "We must go on to other towns as well, and I will preach to them, too. That is why I came." (Mark 1:37-39)

  • Our prayer life would always end in proclaiming the words we listened from God, assimilated and lived out. We cant keep the good things and great experience of God in our Heart because it is meant for others. and it is only in sharing it that we savor the completeness of joy in our heart. Prayer Reflections Week XV (July 22-28, 2013)

Day 7: "Persistence will make him get up and give his friend all he wants."-luke11:8.

  • Does God answer our prayers just because we're persistent in asking or  because he's basically a Giver? The father always gives what is best to us, yet He's happy when we persevere in prayer because it PROVES our trust that HE CARES for us. Don't stop praying. God shows Himself in a GRADUAL way when we ask Him day-by-day, 'Father..give us today our daily bread..'- vd prayer buddies


Day 5: Proverbs 11:30; " The seeds of good deeds become a tree of life"

  • His words serve as  fertilizer for us to grow in our spiritual life so that we bear much fruits. Our lives are mere reflection of how we nurtured the seed(word of God) . If his words firmly planted and rooted in our heart we become life changing instrument to others. - from Verbum Dei Prayer Buddies
  • "Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me." Jesus friendship with us is full of trust and confidence, he trusts us so much that he shared to us everything he learned from our father.  Are we so trusting and confident in our friendship with Jesus? Day 4: "To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given, and they will have an abundance of knowledge." -Mat. 13:12

  • knowledge of God will always lead us to do the right thing in the perspective that God wants us to see. The more we listen to and assimilate the word of God, the more we know and understand the ways of God. Knowing God is also knowing ourselves better. Day 7: "CHOOSE THE BETTER PART!" -Luke 10:42.

Prayer Reflections Week XIII (July 8-14,2013)

Day 7: "The Word of God is something very near to you, it is already on your lips and in your heart, you have only to carry it out."-Deut30:14.

  • The Word is that inner Voice of Love that prompts us to speak and to do good, like the Good Samaritan. Busyness  is often an easy excuse from charity. May we always keep a "pilgrim" space in our hearts to be available to that inner voice who turns us with mercy toward our wounded brother or sister on our daily way. - VD Prayer Buddies


Day 6: 'how happy are you to believe that the lord's message to you will come true'.Lk1:45

  • Gods promises to us will come true if we trust in him, If we believe. It is in our Dialogue that he conquer our trust, where we recognise that the promise is not the aim, the promise is God himself. He as our promise, He as our aim, he is our true happiness. The Lord's message came true to her. Help us Mother Marry and be with us, teach us to believe. -VD Prayer Buddies


Day 5: John 1:12; Some, however, did receive him and believe in him; so he gave them the right to become God's children. "

  • To become a child of God we should have  strong foundation of faith rooted through the scriptures.  reading the scripture daily meditating it plus  daily exercise of our faith, we can build stronger foundation in faith. -From VD Prayer Buddies

Day 4: "It was because you haven't enough faith, answered Jesus" - Mat. 17:20.

  • How is our faith to this moment? Is the voice of the World louder than the voice  of God in us? Faith is a daily invitation of friendship with God, a respond to Gods call of oneness with Him. Be one with the Lord in silence for a couple of minutes in daily prayer and in the days to come Jesus would say, you have enough faith. - VD Prayer Buddies

Day 3: Go out and stand before me on top of the mountain, the Lord said to him....there was the soft whisper of a voice. 1Kings 19:11-12.

  • The voice of the world is so loud that deters us to listen to the voice of God. Today He is inviting you to go to the "mountain" -- peak of your prayer and in the silence of your heart God speaks. The real voice we need to hear is in the silence of our profound prayer. - VD Prayer Buddies

Day 2: Do you believe in the Son of Man? Jn 9:35-38.

  • Without faith we cannot please God. Faith is not merely hearing about who Jesus is but it arises from an encounter with him when we pray and listen to his Words in the scriptures. How open are we to believe in every word he speaks to us is the gauge of our faith. VD prayer buddies

Day 1:"Courage daughter! Your faith has saved you". Mat. 9:18-26.

  • God is once again showing us that nothing s impossible w/  him. Our Father n heaven continously gives us an assurance of resurrection to those who have served him with faith. Let us recognize the resurrection that is taking place in us through our daily humble conversion. -VD Prayer Buddies

Day 6: ' I know  well the plans i have for you. Place for your welfare not  for woe! Plans to give you a future full of hope.           - Jr 29 :11-12

  • our life in the mission have a transcendence. Gods desire for us is a future of hope. What  this moment mean of our mission VD for God? - VD Prayer Buddies

Day 5: Mat. 9:9-13; 'It is not the healthy who need the doctor, but the sick. And indeed I came to call not the upright, but sinners."

  • We are sick but healed by God. We are sinners but forgiven. We are difficult people but called by God to the same mission to  attracts other difficult people as well. Our call to be disciples; call for others.- vd prayer buddies

Day 4: "Seeing their faith, Jesus said take comfort, my child, your sins are forgiven. " -Mat 9:1-8

  • Jesus never runs out of mercy for us giving us peace and comfort and seeing the priceless value of our life beyond our feelings of stingy, guilt, and unworthiness. As followers of Jesus we are invited to do the same - VD Prayer Buddies


Day 3: "You are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets and jesus himself is the cornerstone." Eph.:2:19-22.

  • You are being prepared by Jesus to collaborate with His mission like everyone of us. He gives us exactly what we need during the journey. This is an opportunity to encounter more of Christ and the joy of giving ourselves to others. Christ needs us. He needs you. ---------frm. VD Prayer Buddies

Day 2:"Do not be afraid, follow me"  (Mt 8:23-27).

  • How deep is your faith in Jesus? Is it strong enough to make you unafraid to take risks in order to follow Him? What kind of waves hinder you to follow Him? The offer of the world only gives us temporal happiness. Yes to follow Christ is not easy but he is the only one who can give us true happiness. Let's give our 100% in following Christ and lead others to do the same and enjoy the fullness of life that we are longing for. - vd prayer buddies

Day 6: "here I'm, ready to came to you for the third time and I'm not going to be a burden on you' -2 cor.12: 14

  • After this week Jesus came again to us loving,forgiving us making us to see that cross is not burden. Life itself is a guaranty of growth.What you discover this week? What did you learn in your own process of carrying your cross?  - VD Prayer Buddies

Day 5: 2 Tim 4:17-18" But the Lord stood by me and gave me power so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed for all the gentiles to hear and so I was saved from the lion's mouth."
  • Don't give up because God never gives up on you. He gives you strength for you to bring the word of God to your family, officemate, friends and to other people and even to your enemies. From VD Prayer Buddies

Day 4: "We are subjected to any kind of hardships but never distressed; we see no out but never despair; we are pursued but never cut off; knocked down, but still have some life in us." - 2 cor.4:7-12

  • We never loss hope because this hope of ours is anchored in the very life of Jesus. Always look beyond the cross, it is not the end but just the means of our concrete following of Jesus and marked in us our true christian identity. -VD Prayer Buddies


Day 3: "The Cross of Christ is a folly to the world.. but for those who are on the road of salvation it is the power of God." 1Cor.1:18-25

  • The road to salvation would always lead us to the cross but the world see this as foolishness and absurd. I would rather be a fool in the eyes of the world but wise in the eyes of God.Today make a choice, which do you prefer? - VD Prayer Buddies

Day 2: The life that I am now living...I am living in faith in the son of God who loved me and gave himself for me. Gal 2:20.

  • It is unconditional love for us that moved Jesus to embrace the cross until the very end. Like Jesus we all have crosses in life that comes in different sizes and no one is exempted from having them. Does the cross scare you away? Bearing our cross daily will lead us to the perfection of our love for our spouse, children, neighbor. The cross is not an option but a necessity in following Jesus. -VD Prayer Buddies.

  • i may have accepted my cross but with lots of complaints and a lot of times left the cross behind especially wen got frustrated. help me to be strong and firm in carrying my cross every minute, everyday without hesitation  and complaints in taking it as a joy of being with Him. let me be the light as well to others in following His footsteps amen - Dhelia

Day 6: "dont be anxious about your life, what you shall eat or what you shall put on. Is not life more than food & the body more than clothing?" Mt 6: 24-34

  • God give us the grace to recognize his providence. He will not abandon us. Trust in him and do his will. Look for his kingdom and the rest will be given. -VD Prayer Buddies


Day 5: Mt 6:19-23; Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust consume and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven where neither moth nor rust consumes and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Day 4: "Our father...Thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven" -Mat. 6:7-15

  • Our prayers will always lead us to the will of our father and that is Love, Love in giving us everything that we need to live a fulfilled life, a love that will always invites us to share to others what we received. Day 3: "...when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing...." Mt.6:1-6,16-18.

  • Jesus loves a joyful and a humble giver. He is teaching us that to love others is not to "show off" that you have done good things but to recognize that our joy is meaningful if it is recognize by God in secret than by the people in the open.   - VD Prayer Buddies

Day 2: Love of Jesus is the true model of Loving others. " I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your father who is in heaven. (Mt 5:43-48)

  • Today Jesus invites us to discover  the real joy of loving our enemies, in human thinking its difficult but Jesus want us to live our life in the fullness of joy by being free from slavery of hatred, ill-feelings and grudges.  We need to ask the Grace of God to be able to love like Jesus.   • Many times in our life we give with justification and with conditions. We often forget that God gave everything we need. He even gave His life even if we don't deserve it. Prayer Reflections Week IX (June 10-16, 2013)

Day 7: "i have been crucified with Christ; yet i live, no longer I, but Christ lives in me."-galatians 2:19.

  • Conversion is not a one-time event, but a necessary way of life. We need to be crucified each day of our selfishness and hidden pride in a daily humble conversion. Complacency leads to downfall, like in David. We nourish our faith in God's mercy to deal realistically with our shadows that stop us being Christ. Walk  humbly with your God today-VD Payer Buddies

Day 6: 'you are the salt of the earth,but if the salt losses its taste,with what can it be seasoned?' Mat 5:14-16...

  • Can a light be hidden? let your light shine' The fruit of our dialogue, our intimacy with God can be seen, can be light for others, if we allow it to be. let that light from God shine through us in concrete gestures, actions, words. What is God's invitation for you? -VD Prayer Buddies


Day 5:Mat 7:21-23 "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom in heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven."

  • Our prayers will manifest not in our words but through our actions. What is the quality of your prayer? Does it entail sincerity? Grow in faith means grow in our relationship with the lord.- VD Prayer Buddies

Day 4: Mat 5:3-10 "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven"

  • To be poor in spirit is when we continuously seek the will of God for our life and to always depend on him in whatever situations that we are facing now. By so doing, we are slowly transformed not to ask what we want God do unto us but what God wants to do with our life and start to live differently yet fulfilled and happy. - VD Prayer Buddies

Day 2: 1 kings 17:21 T'hen he stretched himself out on the boy three times and cried out to the Lord, “Lord my God, let this boy’s life return to him!”

  • How do I pray? The passage of today teaches us how we ought to pray. Prayer is not about us. To pray is to know what God's will is for our life amidst the situations we are facing. Prayer Reflections Week VIII (June 3-9, 2013)

Day 7: He said,"young man, i tell you, get up!"-luke 7:14. 
  • Words cannot measure the boundaries of love for those reborn in Christ. Jesus, raise us beyond the limits this world imposes, so that we may be free to love as You did and taught, to find our joy in the Lord of Life.-VD Prayer Buddies
Day 6: 'then Elijah...pray'o Lord my God,restore this child to life! The Lord answer Elijah's prayer,the child started breathing again and revived' 1kings 17-2

  •  What is our life in the life of others? Many moments our experiences and learning in carrying our crosses is a bridge of posibility 4 others. How many people need of ur concern & prayer? Help them to li in d diferent way the chalenges of life. U are a bridge for God's answer.-VD Prayer Buddies

Day 5:Hebrews 12:3-6; "My son, pay attention when the Lord corrects you and do not be discourage when he rebukes you. Because the Lord corrects everyone he loves, and punishes everyone he accepts as a son."

  • The reason why God suffered and died in the cross because of his great love. Sometimes we cannot understand sufferings and hardships in our life because  we considered it punishments. God loves us so He correct us, that we can understand really our purpose, so we can continue following Him. We can walk with him with so much confidence and trust and we can share His holiness. Day 4: "He leaves the other 99 sheep in the pasture and goes looking for the 1 that was lost until he finds it"  - Luke 15:3-7
  • Many times in our life that we are lost; judging others, hating someone who hurts us, being so concerned with the many problems that we have that we forgot to pray. Jesus never allow us to be lost completely, he will always find us and bring us back tenderly and happily to where we really belong... to God. - VD Prayer Buddies

Day 3: "..keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, on whom our faith depends from beginning to end. He did not give up the cross" - Hb 12:2
  • Don't be afraid of the cross but because behind it there's joy, hope and glory that awaits us. Embrace it just like He is now seated at the right side of God. Be strong, Be faithful. Its how we live our crosses that we are defined as true followers of Christ. - VD Prayer Buddies

Day 2: Romans 5:10 "We were God's enemies but he made us friends through the death of his Son"
  • How precious we are to God, He continues to reach out to us up to the extent of spending the life of his son Jesus Christ just to establish friendship with us. We maybe have a lot of friends but only in God's friendship we can find true happiness and salvation. Prayer Reflections Week VII (May 27- June 2, 2013)

Day 7: " He took bread....blessed them, broke them and gave them to the disciples" - Lk 9:11B-17
  • The Eucharist is a miracle of Love. Love is a miracle and love produces miracles. As his disciple, Jesus invites us to believe that miracles happen when we entrust ourselves to his hands to be like him - blessed, broken and given... - VD Prayer Buddies
Day 6: "love is patient, is kind, is not jealous, is not pompous, it is not inflated, it is not rude, does not seek its own interest.... Love never fail"  - 1 Cor. 13:1-8
  • During this week, we were able to see the love of Jesus in us and through us. what quality of love that you can recognize in this week from Jesus? What is the fruit of his love in YOU.

Day 5: 2 Cor. 9:7-8 "You should each give, then as you have decided. not with regret or out of  a sense of duty; for God  loves the one who gives gladly and God is able to give you more than you need so that you will always have all you need for yourselves and more than for every good cause"
  • We cannot imagine how many blessings/gifts we have received from God, we money, power or better reputation but how we use these resources to bring honor and glory to God? Living life to the full when we give ourselves, our time and services to others with all our heart. If you spend your talents or your resources on yourself, you are just surviving. But if you want your life to count, if you want really to live-then GIVE. When God give this gifts he did not mean for our own benefits, but to use it to share and to carry the mission to bring people back to God. - VD Prayer Buddies

Day 4: Sirach 2:1-5 "Gold is tested by fire so as human character is tested in the furnace of humiliation"
  • How many times did we break ourselves trying to move out from our comfort zone for others sake? just continue moving out further and bring out the best in you and God will always be there to help you, after all we are meant to be the best of what God wants us to be. Day 3: Romans 5:5 "God has poured out his love into our hearts by means of the holy spirit."
  • God assures us that as we receive Christ he fills our heart with love. With this love you will never lose hope. Don't worry buddy for you are not alone. - VD Prayer Buddies

Day 2:  Jn 13: 14 "I, your Lord and Teacher, have just washed your feet. You, then should wash one another's feet" 
  • We all wanted to help other people, especially to our immediate family but we fall short because we think of the big thing and impossible in our current situation. Jesus set us a very doable example to follow. with all humility, Jesus does the work of a servant even if he is the Son of the Most high. Even in our own little way we can give hope and life to others. A simple word of encouragement, appreciation and a smile will make others realize that God does not stop working in our lives.   • Things are difficult to sense when you are looking at them really close. The same things true in life. if you are dealing with anything that just too hard to handle or doesn't seem to make much sense, get a new perspective.   • What is real Love for you? The whole life of Jesus is an expression of what real love is, His quality of love is characterized by giving oneself, a love that is 'others' oriented and not self oriented. Prayer Reflections Week VI (May 20-26,2013)

Day7: "We also boast of our troubles, because we know that trouble produces endurance, endurance brings God's approval, and his approval creates hope. This Hope does not disappoint us for God has poured out his love into our hearts by means of the holy spirit." - Romans 5:3-5
  • Our hope is that the holy spirit is God's promise that we will always belong to him. He will not leave us alone in trouble, but teach us to endure with him. Go to him when you're in trouble. He loves you still and never changes his gaze of trust on you. even when we stumble, he'll be the sure hope that will never let you down - VD Prayer Buddies

Day 6:  "anyone who hears these words of mine and obey them is like wise man who built his house on rock" - Mat. 7:24-27
  • The life of the spirit bring in us the newness of his life, when we are faithful to him, when we are sensitive to his voice, when we allow his words be the foundation of our life. Day 5:  Gal. 5: 22-23 "But the spirit produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility and self control"
  • These are example of the fruits and gifts we will receive from the holy spirit, if we accept and let the holy spirit lives in our hearts as we live in a spiritual way and recognizing the holy spirit in our life, we can also receive a gift of reconciliation or a gift of forgiveness.. in order to continue receiving some gifts of fruit that we need, we must have faith and constant prayer. thank you God, Thank you holy spirit. frm: VD Prayer Buddies

Day 4: Acts 9:11-17 "brother saul, the lord has sent me that you might see again and be filled with the holy spirit"
  • am i a collaborator of the works of God? It is in listening and obeying in the prompting of the holy spirit that we become aware of the ways of God. Listen, Obey and Collaborate with the Holy Spirit, bring Jesus to as many of our brothers and sisters, and our joy will be complete. - VD Prayer Buddies


Day 3: Acts 8:26-31 "How can I understand unless someone explains it to me?"
  • In our life with the Holy Spirit we become sensitive to the situation of others. The Spirit leads us to listen. Today you are invited to be available to the people who needs understanding and lead them to prayer.   - VD Prayer Buddies

In the Gospel of Mark, a father with weak faith asks Christ to heal his son. Christ tells him, "Everything is possible to one who has faith."  The father says, "I do believe, help my unbelief!" With this simple prayer, Christ miraculously heals his son. We're still in the Year of Faith until Nov.24, 2013, the end of OrdinaryTime, as Proclaimed by Pope Benedict XVI. Need a miracle? Prayer Reflections Week V (May 13-19,2013)


Day 7: 'For those who are led by the spirit of God are sons of God.'- romans 8:14.
  • When we allow ourselves to be carried by the Spirit of Jesus, we recognize our deepest identity, and we awaken in others too that identity, as children of God, loved by Him.- VD Prayer Buddies
 Day 6: Acts2:6-11'they were all excited,because each one of them heard the believers speaking in his or her own language.How is it, then that all of us hear them speaking in our own native languages?'
  • what is the action of the HS? in our journey of life living with God we can recognzse that nothing of what we live is in vain. Everything in him have an answer for you & others.Do u recognize that God works in you, the disciple that need his people through whom he will share his life? - VD Prayer Buddies.

 Day 5: John 21:15-19;"Truly I say to you, when you were young you put on your belt and walked where you liked. But when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands and another will put you a belt around you and lead you to where you do not wish to go".
  • He who trust in God can do all things. He who trust in what the world is offering can get lost. We tend to forget that we only need God. God alone is sufficient. -VD prayer buddies.
Day 4: 1 cor 12:3b-7, “The spirit‘s presence is shown in some way in each person for the good of all“
  • all of us received special and specific gifts necessary for our journey, we are invited to use and nurture these gifts not just for our own good nor for the good of the few but to all. -VD Prayer Buddies

Day 3: Acts 5:32 "We are witnesses... We and the Holy Spirit, who is God's gift to those who obey Him."
  • There are things in our lives that dictates us to do  which most often contradicts Gods plan for us. Jesus is inviting us to trust in the power of the Holy Spirit because it will empower and strengthen us to face the uncertainties of life and do joyfully His will. Day 2:  Jn 6: 20 ''Don't be afraid" Jesus told them, ''It is I.''

Prayer Reflections Week IV (May 06 - 12, 2013)


Day 7: 'Now as he blessed them, he withdrew from them and was carried up to heaven... they worshiped him and then went back to Jerusalem full of joy' (Luke 24:51-52)
  • The ascension of Jesus is an invitation of our Lord to rise with him from our earthly perspectives to heavenly ones. It is only when we decide finally to  submit our lives to God's ways that we have the strength and joy to go back to our "Jerusalems" like his disciples. - VD Prayer Buddy

  • Be faithful! Jesus' ascension left in our hearts the great hope that He will come back for us who are eagerly waiting for His return and this time no one will be left behind in joining Him going back to heaven. So be faithful, for Heaven awaits us.  - big

  • Can we identify what are d Jesusalems in our life? ...Our pains our struggles our difficulties our sins. Can we face this with our own strenght? I believe we cannot, we need Jesus' strength to face our struggles, pains, temptations and sins.  with HIM We can return to our Jerusalem full of joy and full of conviction. - Syme

Day 6: Jn 16:26-28 " You will ask in my name and i dont say that i shall pray to the father for you because the father himself loves you"
  • One of the aim of our following  is our personal encounter with God. When Jesus can count with us as his disciple Jaime VD Founder said " we form a disciple when we teach them to pray and to do the will of God. Do I recognize what Jesus is doing in me? Do I recognize the personal love of God that is making in me a disciple? - VD Prayer Buddy

Day 5: Jn 16:20-23 "Whatever you ask the father in my name, he will give"
  • Jesus is so generous and kind. He proveide our needs and even our wishes as long as it is in line with his plan and purpose to our life. We ask and receive grace through our prayer. In return of what we received from the father we should pay it forward to others.. - VD Prayer Buddy

Day 4: Jn 16:16-20 "A little while you will no longer see me, and again a little while later you will see me"
  • Thank you Lord for giving us the eyes to see you, to recognize the many blessings you bestowed upon us, though sometimes we are blinded with several concerns and the many pains in life, yet you let us see with so much hope that there so much Joy behind all our pains. - VD Prayer Buddy

  • Lord seeing you everyday makes our life follow the path you wants us to take. Lord we pray that we see each other again and again in prayer so that we ca live our life according to your plan  - Big

Day 3: "...When he comes, the Spirit of truth, he will guide you to all truth." Jn 16:13
  • Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to us and dwell in us so that in the midst of the many voices we can hear, the voice of the spirit will prevail because he speaks only the truth.Recognize the voice that speaks the truth and everything will be well in your life.   • Have been through a lot discouragements, failures, and disappointments in life and yet Lord you continue to call me, help me recognize always your voice that i may not fall again and again that i may not be separated from you anymore. Amen - Dhelia

 Day 2: Jn 16:5-11. "It is better for you that i go. For if I do not go, the advocate will not come to you"

  • Jesus know what is best for us and his business is to make us happy and joyful by conquering sins, righteousness and condemnation by listening and following the voice of the Holy Spirit is always within us, it's up to us whether or not we allow him to work in us. Thank you lord for sending us the Holy spirit as our advocate. Let us pray more, listen to the Holy spirit and lets make the business of Jesus be our business.  - VD Prayer Buddy

Prayer Reflections Week III (April 29 - May 05, 2013 )


 Day 7: "Anyone who loves me will keep my word; My father will love them and we shall come to them and make a home in them." -Jn 14:23

  • God's Plan for us is to be happy, and part of that plan is to give us a home, a home built on his word in persons who know and love him. Let us make people happy too by helping the to know Jesus and love him too.  - VD Prayer Buddy


Day 6: Gn 12:1-4 "Go out from.....to the land that i will show you"

  • God Cares for us, he will never stop in us, giving us the projection that we need.  What is the concrete call, invitation of God in you? the land that make you move, that makes us to continue? VD never loss goal of your mission. Continue! God is waiting for you.    - VD Prayer Buddy

  • God through the life of Jesus is consistent in inviting me to remain in him and his works and not the things of this world and always have the assurance that with the grace and strength from God i will soon overcome the battle within me to go straight to the way that the Lord had prepared for me. Day 5: Jn 14:6-14 "I am the way, the truth and the life; no one comes to the father but through me."

  • Jesus is the only way, the only option, so we have to fix our eyes on him, remain in him and remain in his love. Jesus is the way of our perseverance. Persevere in our christian faith, persevere in our discipleship. In order to persevere, we need prayer, we need his words that strengthen us in our following. - VD Prayer Buddy

Day 4: Jn 15: 9-11 "Remain in my love. Just as i have kept my fathers commandments and remain in his love."

Day 3: Jn 15:1-8 "I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in me,.... bears much fruit...."
  • Jesus is inviting us to always connect our life to him. everyday we want to grow but sometimes our growth is limited because we are not connected to the main source and that is Jesus. Day 2: Jn 14:27-30 Jesus Said, "My peace i leave you My peace i give you. Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid."

  • Jesus has never run out of concern for us, In whatever situation we are in and whatever we feel, he always comforts us ' my peace i give you'. Day 1: " The Helper, the holy spirit whom the father send in my name will teach you everything and make you remember all what i have told you"  - John 14: 21-26.

  • In facing our daily routine, trials, problems, don't worry, have faith, our Father and Jesus send us the Holy spirit that will teach us the best thing to do. Prayer Reflections WeekII (April 22-28, 2013)

  • Robbers and thieves are ready to snatch our life. Beware on whose voice you are listening to or else you find yourself trap to your death. Jesus is inviting us to practice listening to his voice through his words. Today open your bible and listen.                 - Big 
  •  Thank you for the message. Moving from slavery to sin to a life led by the spirit is a constant struggle.  This saying may help: Christian life is not about speed or perfectionism. It's about elasticity, to bounce back again and again even if we slide backwards. G'day.        -Michael

  • When i was about to sleep last night, i tried to imagine beautiful future for my children.
