  • There are so many things the world is  offering that we can't refuse; power, material positions, pleasures, etc. that often mislead us to the truth of life, the truth that we are Gods masterpiece and are not meant to belong to world but to the Lord. We sacrifice our time, efforts, ego and pride as forms of dying to ourselves in bringing many people back to God. My friends remain faithful. - Vd Prayer Buddies

Day 2: Jesus replied "We must go on to other towns as well, and I will preach to them, too. That is why I came." (Mark 1:37-39)

  • Our prayer life would always end in proclaiming the words we listened from God, assimilated and lived out. We cant keep the good things and great experience of God in our Heart because it is meant for others. and it is only in sharing it that we savor the completeness of joy in our heart. Like Jesus do not just bring people to God, But bring God to his people...Speak his word with your life!  - VD Prayer Buddies
  • our life then will become a mirror of who God is. in so doing, God will be known to others - Celia

Prayer Reflections Week XV (July 22-28, 2013)

Day 7: "Persistence will make him get up and give his friend all he wants."-luke11:8.

  • Does God answer our prayers just because we're persistent in asking or  because he's basically a Giver? The father always gives what is best to us, yet He's happy when we persevere in prayer because it PROVES our trust that HE CARES for us. Don't stop praying. God shows Himself in a GRADUAL way when we ask Him day-by-day, 'Father..give us today our daily bread..'- vd prayer buddies

If his words firmly planted and rooted in our heart we become life changing instrument to others. - from Verbum Dei Prayer Buddies
  • "Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me." Jesus friendship with us is full of trust and confidence, he trusts us so much that he shared to us everything he learned from our father.  Are we so trusting and confident in our friendship with Jesus? Do we really trust in his words? - abay

  • truly, assimilation of the Word of God is understanding our prayers with our whole being. it is understanding what we have listened with our hearts and soul, not just with our minds; deciphering His desires in our lives by understanding between the lines. between those lines are words of love only understood by a heart that beats for the Word and a soul which yearns for it faithfully. for how can we really incarnate His Word in our realities if our understanding is lacking? This is our identity- to assimilate the Word with our entirety- DAILY! - Angel

Prayer Reflections Week XIII (July 8-14,2013)

Day 7: "The Word of God is something very near to you, it is already on your lips and in your heart, you have only to carry it out."-Deut30:14.

  • The Word is that inner Voice of Love that prompts us to speak and to do good, like the Good Samaritan. Busyness  is often an easy excuse from charity. May we always keep a "pilgrim" space in our hearts to be available to that inner voice who turns us with mercy toward our wounded brother or sister on our daily way. - VD Prayer Buddies

Day 6: 'how happy are you to believe that the lord's message to you will come true'.Lk1:45

  • Gods promises to us will come true if we trust in him, If we believe. It is in our Dialogue that he conquer our trust, where we recognise that the promise is not the aim, the promise is God himself. He as our promise, He as our aim, he is our true happiness. The Lord's message came true to her. Help us Mother Marry and be with us, teach us to believe. -VD Prayer Buddies

Day 4: "It was because you haven't enough faith, answered Jesus" - Mat. 17:20.

  • How is our faith to this moment? Is the voice of the World louder than the voice  of God in us? Faith is a daily invitation of friendship with God, a respond to Gods call of oneness with Him. Be one with the Lord in silence for a couple of minutes in daily prayer and in the days to come Jesus would say, you have enough faith. - VD Prayer Buddies

Day 3: Go out and stand before me on top of the mountain, the Lord said to him....there was the soft whisper of a voice. 1Kings 19:11-12.

  • The voice of the world is so loud that deters us to listen to the voice of God. Today He is inviting you to go to the "mountain" -- peak of your prayer and in the silence of your heart God speaks. The real voice we need to hear is in the silence of our profound prayer. - VD Prayer Buddies

Day 1:"Courage daughter! Your faith has saved you". Mat. 9:18-26.

  • God is once again showing us that nothing s impossible w/  him. Our Father n heaven continously gives us an assurance of resurrection to those who have served him with faith. Let us recognize the resurrection that is taking place in us through our daily humble conversion. -VD Prayer Buddies
