Prayer Reflections Week XX (Aug 26-Sept 1, 2013)

Day 7: 'My child, conduct your affairs with humility, and you will be better loved than a lavish giver.'-sirach 3:17.

  • All of us long to be loved and appreciated. It is not by what we give or do for others, but by how we treat each one that we are appreciated. Gentleness is the true expression of greatness. -vd prayer buddies


Day 5: "I promise you that i will bless you and give you many descendants". (Hebrews 6:13-15)

  • Our discipleship is not only for us but for the coming generations. The strong foundation of our prayer is very important to expand the Kingdom of God.  We are the first teacher of faith to our children.  We should show to them the kingdom of harmony, peace and love by taking responsibility now and pass the torch to our children. Day 4: "Freedom is what we have - Christ has set us free! Stand, then, as free people, and do not allow yourselves to become slaves again." (Gal 5:1)

  • Exercise of freedom beyond the boundary set by God is sin. Real freedom comes from obeying what God has commanded us to do and this is what Jesus has been doing and teaching us all his life..to Love. Do not be enslave then by the selfishness in you..Always keep the freedom, Love everyday the way Jesus is teaching you to do. VD Prayer Buddies


Day 3: ...Jesus Christ; rich as He was, He made himself poor for your sake, in order to make you rich by means of His poverty. 2Cor.8:7-9.

  • Jesus is inviting us to be poor so that in our poverty many will be rich. This is the authentic Christian life that we are called for. In your participation as disciple of Christ reexamine your intentions. Pray that we see it as a sense of doing what is good and likened to the intention of Christ. Vd Prayer Buddies


Day 2:"Each one, as a good manager of God's different gifts must use for the good of others the special gift he has received from God".  (1Pt4: 10)

  • You and I, we received many gifts from God, peace, love, joy, patience, kindness, goodness, humility, etc. These are not only for us. God invites us to share this gifts to others and help expand the kingdom of God.- VD prayer buddies

Prayer Reflections Week XIX (Aug. 19-25, 2013)

Day 6: ' The kingdom of heaven has suffered violence attacks and violent men try to seize it' mt 11:12

  • To love is many times not easy but God make possible in us what is Impossible for man. Take the risk to love as he love and to make possible the family that we are call to build. The family of God - vd prayer buddies


Day 4: "Let us not give up the habit of meeting together, as some are doing. Instead, let us encourage one another." (Hebrews 10:25)

  • We are meant to commune  and whether we like it or not our life speaks and affects the life of others. Building our life in Truth and Love also builds the life of many. Draw strength and courage from Jesus and from people of active faith and together as one community let us share a life live in full. - VD Prayer Buddies

Day 3: You are like the light of the world...In the same way your light must shine before people. Mt. 5:13-16 
  • As we are called Christians we too are bearer of the light that we received from Christ. A light that freed us from bondage of sin, gave hope for us who are hopeless, gave love for us who felt unloved and faith for us who have none. Today let the light of Christ shine through you and share this light so others may live. VD Prayer Buddies.
Day 2: In Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all others. Rm. 12:5 
  • Your life is created for community and fellowship. God never intends to make our personal relationship with Christ privately. This must be shared through our fellowship with others. Sharing our life with Christ is the real fellowship. Be involved, Be connected to Catholic communities and live out Christ fellowship with others. VD Prayer buddies.
Day 1:" This s good and it pleases God Our Saviour, for Hé wants everyone to be saved and to come to know the truth." (Jn. 3:18)
  • It pleases God when we obey His command to love our neighbors by treating them as members of our own family by sharing the Love of God so that together we will become witness of the truth , the love of God. Let love for others prevails in our hearts everyday even of it takes sacrifices because we are made out of His love and we are meant to love.  VD Prayer Buddies

Prayer Reflections Week XVIII (Aug. 12-18, 2013)

Day 4: "When Jesus saw the large crowd, his heart was filled with pity for them." Mat. 14:14

  • Jesus is always looking at us with great mercy and compassion in spite of our stubbornness and ignorance of him, he never loses hope and confident that someday we will gradually learn from his ways. Like Jesus, do we feel compassion towards our superior, co-workers, children, spouse? - VD Prayer Buddies 


Day 3: I am the vine, you are my branches,...those who remains in me and I in them will bear much fruit...Jn. 15:5

  • It is essential in our discipleship the strong connection we have with the source and that is Christ. We are nothing without him. It is only through him that we can find faith and perseverance to enjoy the fruits of mission. Just hang on to Jesus. He will not fail you. - Vd Prayer Buddies

Day 2: "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has chosen me to bring good news to the poor." Lk. 4:18

  • We are all chosen by God to bring Hope in the life of others in the manner that we dealt and communicate with our brethren. a simple smile, a sincere listening and a soft voice of inspiration may give them  courage to persevere in life with God. Day 1:"And now I give you à new commandment, love one another as I have loved you, you must love. one another. Jn. 13:34

  • This very basic commandment of Christ is the very first step in Our mission to share His love-life to others without discrimination. Just we are fruits of other disciples following this commandment, let us also do the same to the people w/in our reach. - VD Prayer Buddies

Prayer Reflections Week XVII (Aug. 5-11,2013)

Day 7: "For wherever your treasure is, that is where your heart will be also."-luke12:34.

  • Jesus reminds us today: Make God the treasure of your heart. Life is short & our homeland is in heaven. We need to work hard to build His Kingdom of Love, justice and peace. If we do, He will be the One to 'do up his belt and wait on us.' Don't worry, you can rest all you want when you get there, meanwhile, let Him find you busy serving others. Day 6: Matthew 10:42
"If you gives so much as a cup of cold water to one of those little ones because he is a disciple, then I tell you solemnly, he will most certainly not lose his reward."

  • Even in a very simple gesture of serving the LORD it certainly receive the reward. Don't take for granted a little good act of LOVE it might be your steeping stone to HOLINESS as your reward. Good morning!!! - VD Prayer Buddies


Day 5: "Those who believe in the son of God have the testimony of God in them" (1John 5:10).

  • Faithfulness in prayer is the key to announce the good news. Our experiences of God into our life is  a great motivation for us to share our faith and our prayers to others.-from VD Prayer Buddies


Day 4: "Jesus emptied himself by taking on the form of a servant." (Philippians 2:7)

  • Jesus emptied... means nothing left for him even his life on earth were given up for the sake of not one, not two not even to many but for all of us... even Jesus is serving us in many ways though he is Lord..do we recognize this identity of ours to be of service for others? It is the love that God puts in our hearts that cry out to serve others. Satisfy your heart today, give service to others in the simplest way out of love. - VD Prayer Buddies
  • Serve with gratituted for God is good - joy

Day 3: I have chosen you to be with me....I will send you out to preach. Mk. 3:23-15.

  • The call of Jesus to do the mission is personal. He wanted us to be close to Him as we journey as His apostles. So that our missionary journey is joyful and complete. Giving freedom to those who are in bondage, healing the seek, hope to the despair, making blind see, the deaf hears and justice to the oppressed. Listen friend, Jesus is calling.- Vd Prayer Buddies
  • God calls us in varried ways, sometimes in the situations we face, in the experiences we had, thru people we met, & most often in our conversation w/ Him thru the scriptures... We just have to discover & recognize how He invites & calls us...Lord may I be able to realize how you want me to be...amen - nanang

Day 1:"We are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jésus to do good works, w/c God prepared in advance for us to do". (Eph. 2:10)

  • It is but right & Just to share to others the life & love of Jésus that we recieved through His Words. Just as Jésus became à servant to us, we too in return will do the same to others. Through Our prayers let us recognize God's call to reach out to those who are still ignorant of the life & love of Jésus. Let us not deprive them of their rights to know & experience Jesus' love. We can always share when we are in prayer. -vd prayer buddies
